Sisterhood Boutique

Located in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of South Minneapolis, Sisterhood Boutique is a business venture designed and run by East African women, ages 14-23

Following a successful opening in February 2014, Sisterhood Boutique recently expanded to a new location, thanks to donated space from Fairview Health Services. At the new location you will find a colorful selection of gently used women’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories and scarves.

Location: 2200 Riverside Ave, Minneapolis

Hours: Monday-Friday: 12-7pm

The Sisterhood Boutique was developed by East African women who reside in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, and participate in the Brian Coyle Center Youth Entrepreneurship Program. More than a year ago, program participants decided they wanted to build something positive for other girls and women in the neighborhood, and the Sisterhood Boutique was born. Young women involved with the program are learning a variety of personal and professional skills from business development to event planning, while the colorful variety of clothing and accessories available at the shop provide affordable clothing options for residents of the neighborhood.

Thanks to Fairview Health Services, Augsburg College, Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, Sundance Family Foundation, Marbrook Foundation and Women Investing in the Next Generations (WINGS) Fund of the Greater Twin Cities United Way for their generous support of this innovative business venture.
