Youth Literacy COORDINATOR

This position focuses on coordination of the Kids College program which provides high-quality, relationship-based literacy interventions, customized goal-setting and tutoring to ensure academic success for youth in the Phillips neighborhood while promoting a love of lifelong learning through experiential and applied learning activities. The position will also focus on supervision and leadership as Program Coordinator in Brian Coyle Center’s K-8 “youth development continuum” including Kids College, group activities, behavior support/wellbeing, parent engagement and summer enrichment.
This is a part-time, 30 hour/week position located at Waite House(2323 11th Ave South, Minneapolis)

Full cycle Bicycle Mechanic
Closing date: Open until filled
This position will be responsible for the sale and repair of used bicycles, as well as for assisting with the Full Cycle internship program, giving homeless youth the opportunity to learn bicycle mechanics and basic business skills through the operation of a bike shop. Additional responsibilities include picking up and organizing donated bicycles, developing healthy and helpful relationships with adolescents, and working with volunteers.

Program Development Officer/Grant Writer

The Program Development Officer/Grant Writer will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of fundraising and financial management, program development and implementation, and community and professional leadership development for the Cedar Riverside Neighborhood Revitalization Program (CRNRP). The Development Officer will work with the Executive Director and the CRNRP Board in building relations with the community members and institutions, including major donors, corporate and foundation sponsors. The Development Officer will also create an annual development action plan with goals for the growth of the organization and execute this plan by contacting, cultivating and asking prospective donors for support.

Interpreter

There are 5 openings for this position. This position will perform interpretation and translation services between medical or legal providers and non-English speaking clients and patients. This position my also assist in the coordination of services, provide information, prepare documents, greet visitors, and answer phones. This is an on-call position. We are seeking candidates with proficiency in Hmong Somali, and Spanish.
Intepreter positions are On-Call, Temporary, Hourly positions located at various Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area locations.

Sous Chef
Closing date: February 27th, 2015
The Sous Chef will be responsible for preparing and distributing daily free meals in Waite Houses’s community cafe; conducting outreach and building relationships among cafe visitors; coordinating relationships with agencies to support the program goals and outcomes; and preparing and serving youth program meals in compliance with CACFP/SFSP requirements.
This position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am-2:00p at Waite House (2323 11th Ave South, Minneapolis, MN 55404).
