Affordable Childcare
Looking for a creative, high quality early education program? Pillsbury Early Education Center has openings!
Pillsbury Early Education Center (PEEC) is a nationally accredited, culturally diverse and arts-integrated early learning program located in the heart of South Minneapolis at Pillsbury House + Theatre (3501 Chicago Ave. South). PEEC offers early learning services Monday through Friday from 8:00am-6:00pm, and currently has openings for toddlers ages 16 months-3 years, and pre-schoolers ages 3-5 years.
PEEC provides affordable childcare that is open to all families. For those who qualify, Pillsbury United Communities subsidizes a portion of PEEC’s services and also works with Hennepin County assistance programs to ensure affordability. PEEC prioritizes providing individualized care to each child, offering culturally sensitive programming, supporting dual language learners, and partnering with parents and families to support student success. The program is accredited by NAEYC, which assesses programs for quality according to health, safety and education standards, and has also received MN Parent Aware’s highest possible, 4-Star rating.
PEEC’s caring, licensed staff have advanced training in early education, and decades of experience working with South Minneapolis youth. The program offers a research-based curriculum that provides young learners with the unique opportunity to take part in music and movement classes taught by Pillsbury House + Theatre’s professional Resident Artists, while also building the social/emotional and academic skills they’ll need to be successful in kindergarten and beyond.
