Breaking Ice is a stimulating and entertaining performance program that gets to the heart of difficult issues. Each performance is created for the specific circumstances of its presentation, an original theatre piece using poetry, music, movement and structured improvisation to bring difficult issues to life. The facilitated discussion that follows provides the forum for participants to explore the issue together.
Topics have included:
• Racism
• Violence
• Sexual Harassment
• Workplace Diversity
• HIV Awareness
• Women in the Workplace
Corporations, non-profit organizations, schools and community groups have booked Breaking Ice performances as a workplace training session or a workshop. Depending upon the subject and circumstance, performances and discussions vary from a half hour to one and a half hours in length. Groups have ranged from 10 to 1000 people.
“Prepare yourself to be moved on a very personal level and compelled to action after experiencing the work of Pillsbury House Theatre. You will be reminded as I was that change begins with each of us.” Barbara Nobles Crawford, P.h.D., Executive Coach and Business Training Consultant, Nobles Crawford & Partners
